Throughout 2008 we will find the designer palette becoming rich and saturated. A trio of AKDO’s new granites - Matrix, Verde Borgogna and Green Soapstone - reflects this trend beautifully!

Neutral shades are classic, and in our industry they are clearly the leaders: Tawny Beige Marble, Ephesus Dune Limestone, Navona Travertine and Millenium Cream Granite are all excellent canvases proving that neutrals are by no means dull!

We shall see a strong move towards metallics and textures in the home fashion industry this year: AKDO paves the way with Glow porcelain, a shimmery delight imported from Italy. Pelle is another trend-setting European tile for floors and walls: this tactile collection has the luxurious look and feel of sumptuous leather.

Warm grey such as Blue Lagos limestone is not only handsome and versatile, but looks terrific dressed up with our luscious handmade oval glass mosaics.

Blue continues to be embraced by the public: it is a wonderful back-drop shade echoing the ocean and the sky. Caspian Blue Blend, Azul Celeste marble and Azul Macaubas granite are all delightful examples of this serene and calming color.

In summary, the 2008 trend forecast will exhibit complex neutrals, subtle textures, metallics and rich multi-colors. You will find all these components cleverly and aesthetically combined in AKDO’s comprehensive collections of stone, porcelain and glass.
