JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager
DEPARTMENT: Marketing

SUMMARY: The Marketing Manager is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; coordination with sales; and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Primary function is to provide support in the area of marketing strategy and management.
- Developing the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve system and goals
- Providing leadership and/or supporting the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines
- Overseeing and providing direction to market and competitor analysis
- Providing leadership, direction, and management of the market tools function
- Creating an institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure, and analyze performance
- Ensuring all marketing communications are coordinated, supporting marketing plan objectives, and ensuring an effective expenditure of resources
- Providing marketing skills and expertise to the Company by building, developing, and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics
- Preparing presentations to explain the Company’s current and future strategies
- Coordinating and actively participating in industry specific trade shows and expos
- Effectively communicating with media, providing necessary press releases, etc.
- Marketing slow moving items
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Related Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or Master’s degree preferred. 6-7 years of related experience.
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Solid communication skills required. Must have the ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write detailed correspondences and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations also required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: In-depth analytical skills required. Statistical analysis experience preferred.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems often involving multiple variables in multiple situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and good judgment, and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning, and promotions/advertising
